A NOTE FROM CORALIE

Hey everyone!

Thanks heaps for filling out the tourism service survey, we are currently compiling some analysis and will send out a summary of results soon. Your input has helped drive our strategy for the next financial year.

We are seeing lots of great winter specials out there, please remember to let us know if you have any deals going so we can push them out through our visitor networks. We are also compiling a list of happy hours at restaurants and bars in the Shoalhaven, if you know of any please send them to Georgia so she can add them to our list!

Talk soon,

Coralie + the team

EOFY LOOSE CHANGE? BOOK AN AD!

We are getting the visitor guide ready early this year, which means we are already selling advertising in our 2018 guide! We are printing and distributing 100,000 copies next year, click here to see advertising opportunities and book your ad.

The 2018 Visitor Guide will no longer feature free listings for accommodation. We have added a cheaper advertising option this year as well as new digital options for the new website. Please fill out the booking form, email Joe or call the Visitor Centre with enquiries.

Regional Event Funding – Incubator Event Fund Webcast

On the 20th of July Destination NSW will be running a 45 minute webcast on the Incubator Event Fund. Please encourage anyone you know that is thinking of developing an event or is entering their 1st or 2nd event year to register here.

The Incubator Event Fund offers seed funding to events in Regional NSW to support their first and second years of activity. The webinar will tell you about eligibility criteria, how to apply, and what Destination NSW is looking for in an application.

We actively encourage event owners to apply for funding and can support them during this process in a number of ways.

VISITOR SERVICES

The ambassadors have settled in quickly, adopting their role of providing information to tourists, and assisting at the mobile stand at Silos during the Winter Wine Festival. They are enthusiastic and want to take on more tasks.

The mobile tourism stand at Silos was a huge success with over 450 guides given out, which will hopefully encourage visitors to come again to our region. Councillor Jo Gash, Josh our VIS attendant, and Glenn our volunteer ambassador, did a tremendous job in providing information and welcoming visitors to our area.

NSW TOURISM AWARDS – ENTER NOW!

There will be no South Coast Tourism Awards this year due to the restructure of the Regional Tourism Organisation, so we encourage everyone to apply directly to the NSW Tourism Awards here
